Burlesque 101 Performance Series Summer Intensive
Jump into burlesque with a summer intensive at Caramel’s Charm School. Classes start with June 16th with Art of Burlesque lectures and hands on classes at Charm School HQ with some of the best in the Burlesque and Cosplay industry. On July 1st, movement and choreo classes begin. Students will learn everything in Modules One, Two and Three, plus Performance Choreo. Performance opportunity available but not required.

If you choose to participate in the group act, costuming will be an additional fee.
Attendance policy will be discussed on the first day.

You've been to the shows, followed the performers. Now you're ready to take your place on stage. This 18 week, 30 hour program is designed to prepare the novice for the stage. You will take Module One, Module Two and Art of Burlesque Level One lecture classes,

Module One - Parade and Peel

Burlesque basics start with learning how to walk the walk. Some of today’s most popular burlesque artists captivate their audience by simply walking across the stage. There is no nudity in this class, but we will introduce the classic art of the tease with clothing removal.

Required items - satin gloves, zip up jacket, and a wrap skirt or towel.
Satin gloves will be available to borrow or for purchase.
Module Two - Bump and Grind

Swing those hips and shimmy those shoulders! There’s certainly nothing wrong with a little bump and grind, and during this module we’ll focus on various techniques that are a part of classic burlesque foundations.
